I am so happy with my Note 10 Plus. Can't describe the efficiency that this phone is able to help you achieve.
I trust Samsung engineers will improve this in the 2nd, 3rd generation until holographic appears.
Cheers! Love gsmarena, grew up with you!
They should make some tech that heals the fold crease in screen when unfolded
XTR, 08 Oct 2019First generation device. Remember Note 1? Remember the first curved screen phone Note Edge? Fo... moreNot the same.
The Samsung NOTE was a staggeringly good product, even in its first iteration. This is not. It's dainty and full of compromises.
Here's how Samsung could've made it a good first-gen product:
Reduce the dimension a little to 160 x 77 x 11mm (folded). So now it's pocketable and useable with one-hand. It becomes a respectable size as an unfolded tablet (160 x 144 x 5.5mm). Then change the form-factor so that it's outward folding like the Huawei Mate X. Now its more useful. Remember to include the S Pen and silo in the Camera-Lane. And finish it off with IP68 protection. There shouldn't be more than one variant, so throw 5G in for free, I mean it's going to be a USD $1,500.00 phone after all.
No need to fiddle with front cameras, extra screens, notches, gimmicks, etc etc.
This device is basically like an iPhone Max transforming into an iPad Mini, more portable than both.
A month is long term?
GalaxyFold718 , 10 Oct 2019A honest review seriously 😂 this review is more like a whining review like at times when I was... moreQuestion. Can you run another app while gaming? Will the fold decrease the size of the game and let you run another app like youtube in the remainder of the screen? This way you can play youtube videos while gaming if the sound on the game is disabled.
GalaxyFold718 , 10 Oct 2019A honest review seriously 😂 this review is more like a whining review like at times when I was... moreDamn you must be one of the lucky ones then. Ive had my fold just over a month and in that time the hinge has become loose and the bottom of the screen is starting to lift up near to the hinge joints. its a good phone but still think the technology is there yet to make it suitable as a daily driver for people until the hinges have been tested more vigorously.
I really think this phone is cool, but I personally wouldn't buy it. Obviously as people we have different preferences, it's very beneficial for people who like reading stuff on their phones because they won't have to go around carrying tablets.

Chris, 04 Oct 2019This is a absolute honest review I would say.A honest review seriously 😂 this review is more like a whining review like at times when I was reading (From My Galaxy Fold) I was like dude just use the phone righteously and without fear. Smh this is coming from a father of 3 girls a salesman and someone who's constantly on the Fold hasn't had not one issue. That's using it since launch date screen is still in immaculate condition even after opening and closing many times. No losseness within the hinge I have had 0 issues and the device in whole still looks as new as when I first unboxed it.

I think this is very cool and futuristic, but for me it's just too much. I'd flinch every time I would fold it over in case it would break. I can be quite heavy handed.
Anonymous08082019, 06 Oct 2019Agreed, this review style is interesting...Although I'm not willing to spend $3000(in my country Singapore) for the Galaxy Fold. As a clumsy person, I quite frequently drop my phone by accident. I fear that the Fold will break into pieces if I drop it

This is an excellent idea for a review. I'd like to see more Long term usage posts like this for other major phones. They would definitely be a benefit for people who don't buy a device upon launch amidst all the knee-jerk reactionary commentary that goes along with it.
harlekkin, 04 Oct 2019This article just highlights why this device just isn't ready for the market. No one asked for... moreA limited production run at $2000 is hardly a mainstream device. it's a proof of concept/early adopter/status symbol machine right now.
That makes no sense. Most people have cases on their phones in regular real-world usage.
harlekkin, 04 Oct 2019This article just highlights why this device just isn't ready for the market. No one asked for... moreYou are wrong. There is definitely a need for devices like these for people who love larger screens. Market is ready for such devices and if it was priced on par with other similar flagships, it would kill the non-foldable market in a snap.
Problem is the technology is not ready.
This is a absolute honest review I would say.
Tonberry, 04 Oct 2019I'm definitely not rich enough to afford a Fold, but if I got one, it would be extremely usefu... moreI agree the screen estate is something someone who loves reading my find very attractive, but aside from that, this phone has no benefits, only a larger price tag, and tons of headaches.
Although I could buy it right now, I will not waste money on such a device, no matter how "innovative" it is.
