Jayanth, 13 Nov 2018The performance of this phone would be in the same range as phones hosting Mediatek's Helio p 60.so it has heating issue?
Please also note the Geekbench Scores for the Device
Single Core - 1618 ( Second Highest under Honor Play )
Multi Core - 5651 ( Third under Honor Play and Realme 1)
Pros
-Eye-catchy glass design
-Large screen with very good contrast
-Dependable battery life
-Powerful processor and graphics for the class
-The camera snaps good enough pictures during the day, and great at night
-The selfies are quite nice, too
-DEDICATED microsd slot as STANDARD
-DualSIM
-FM Radio
-3.5mm jack as STANDARD
-Less intrusive NOTCH compared to our recently reviewed Pixel 3 XL. In our opinion, Honor 8X should NEVER have it in the first place.
There, editor, fixed it for you.
The battery browsing time seems wrong. All recent tests (of phones with LCD) have higher or the same browsing time than video playback. It seems too low and you have a big history of wrongly calculated screen times that you corrected afterward. Look into it, please.
The daylight pictures are indeed low quality, that's what I said about the Mate 20 Lite (has the same camera) while you were reporting that they were rather good. Also, they aren't high contrast. They seem to have, but in a side by side comparison the fake contrast reveals itself and you can see it in some areas. The shadows are emphasizez, that's why, but in some place the low contrast is obvious.
All in all, nice design, low performance. I hope the View 20 will have both looks and performance. The price will allow for both. 8X is budget and it shows.
ginoskiee, 12 Nov 2018nice review now i know witch should i pick between realme2pro and 8x... Your choice from realme2pro vs honor 8x
Beautiful

I note that the CONS said No Fast Charging. I have an 8X, and it charges faster than any phone I've ever had. Not sure what standard you got for fast charging, but this sure charges well.
Piphacker, 12 Nov 2018Huawei's biggest draw back is its poor dim dull display in midrage segment... I never saw, Go... moreHave you seen Honor 9N or Honor Play or Honor 8X You'll change your opinion from then onwards
LG Superfan, 12 Nov 2018Gsmarena where is LG V40 review? And do Honor Magic 2 tooYeah seriously, I've been keeping my eye out for those two
In Russia, Honor 8X is about 74 dollars or 66 euros cheaper than Honor Play (on an official website) and has great performance/price ratio (well, they both have); and also has NFC (maybe on some other markets too), which can be seen only on screenshots, but not in the text of this review at all, which is not right.
BTW, i just noticed GSMArena moved Huawei from 8th place to 3rd place on the "phone finder" list. I'm glad they did it. It rightfully belongs on that spot. Huawei has made some major leaps this year, and it shows with their products all around. :)
Pretty decent for the price. Personally I'd say you'd be better off spending a little more and going for the Honor Play instead... but if you can't, then this is absolutely fine as well.
GSM Arena what?? I have one of these and daylight images are sharp, bright and detailed. I would not call it abysmal
Huawei's biggest draw back is its poor dim dull display in midrage segment... I never saw, Good bright display with deep black in Huawei's mid, range phones
