Anonymous, 31 Jan 2023Well honestly, I had a very bad experience with this phone (still have it till now, but search... moreI had this sim slot issue and thought the phone was done with, but I visited Huawei for 1 last chance before dumping the phone, and it turned out to be a software issue, it seems the phone was accidentally shutdown during a software update (which is something that should be avoided) so the IMEI number was lost which is as if the phone was rooted. And it seems like Huawei is pretty serious about not rooting this phone so you lose a lot of phone features including the sim card slots. All I had to do was to connect the phone to a laptop using cable and use Huawei software to roll back to the previous update, that restored the IMEI number, and I was able to update again to the latest version and everything worked just fine. Honestly it was an annoying experience but I am happy to have my phone back. It is still as perfect after 5 years of continuous use, I only had to change the battery once.

My only problem now, after 5 years, is are the side buttons for the volume and for taking screenshots. But it's been five years, and I've dropped this phone several times, but thats the only problem I got.

Only replaced the battery once. Haven't encountered any of the problems you mentioned. Mine is still going strong. Guess you just had bad luck with your unit.

Well honestly, I had a very bad experience with this phone (still have it till now, but searching for another one)..
I had so much issues using it:
- the charging slot was damaged and had to change it
- the charger itself is not working properly
- the vibration sensor was broken
- the sim slot is also damaged and can't use it anymore, so now I'm just using it for gaming
- the camera was broken, and the focus was not working anymore neither
Those are the major issues I encountered. But for a phone worth 900$, you should usually expect a lot more reliable and better quality...

Great mobile f&f only 6 gig gosh.. Made in 18 can't fault it clever cameras I bought it through a famous selling site second hand in very good condition perfect it was and still is? It's the ability you put into it never fails no never what.. I have bought others since No keep go to this.... Oh android 11 now

I was a Samsung boy all my life...they got rid of IR blasters and headphone jacks (which i don't mind now there BT available).
Already had a Huawei Mate 10 and now Mate 20 Pro. No complaints.

Great phone and last one TOP Huawei Mate model with google apps.
There is only one disadvantage for me. Selfie cam has fixed focus to concrete distance from lens. Photos taken far from selfie lens are little blurry.
In these days still great phone!!!!!

Islam, 14 Jan 2020Hi all i thinking to buy a mobile phone but i'm little bit confused between Mate 20 pro and Ip... moreThe mate 20 pro has a few glitches that were never ironed out in the EMUI 10 update. Get a screen protector as the glass scratches up easier than warm butter..... It may not be as fast as the iPhone 11, but at a fraction of the cost thanks the the mate 30 pro making it obsolete and the pending mate 40 pro later than s year. You can get it for a steal! About £200 or $250 if you buy it online is insane value! Just note that the google play store is not the native app, and google do have a part ban on Huawei devices from the mate 30 pro and newer.... But you should be able to manually install and get around it. I like the face that Huawei is making it easy for us to get Google out of our lives lol the iPhone 11 is like 4-8 times the cost, and all you get is a similar product with a lower spec screen and smaller battery, but pulls 20% faster in CPU benchmarks. The EMUI is said to improve CPU performance and up storage performance by up to 40%, so there may not be much at all going for the iPhone now. I love my Huawei, but am out off by how easily it scratches up and how badly. Even a plastic flip cover scratches the glass like sand paper. I may buy Huawei again if you he keep selling devices at such amazing value..... But the AI that is said to help get the perfect shot makes pictures look fake and edited, far too vibrant. Have that disabled and you have a awesome camera in your pocket
