probably my wife will exchange her throttled iphone6 against a honor play. does the poco f1 really better shots in low light? compared to my tissot (Mi A1) I think those honor play night photos in your test look rather fantastic for that price.

Huawei does make nice phones for the price, despite the fact that with time, they are getting more and more expensive.
This is such a device, but problem is that Huawei makes more and more and more of pretty much same phones with just minor differences. And that's confusing.
Not just Huawei, other manufacturers are doing same thing aswell, which is confusing to customers.

GPU Turbo which is implemented only in 2 games (MOBA & PUBG) among hundreds and thousands of them. Does not improve frame rate but smoothens out the graphics. So which part of this GPU is Turbo'ed? More deserving to be called AI GPU software tech than such.

This is only for those who do not take care of their mobile and completely negligent in their usage. Put a decent case, it can fix this problem. Pocco F1 is still strong in terms of specs and I think there is no clear winner IMHO both are capable and good. Honor will have to re-work their price little bit in the next iteration. Otherwise, more will join this crowd.

Love this phone. A good compromise of Looks and performance at a very good price. Looking to finally jump ship to android (from WP). Only prob with this i think is i cant costumize things (like walppapers) right? Might go for that LG G7 One for if they have the same price. I'd appreciate any advice from any of you long time android users.

So having a notch is count as pros now , rubbish .
Anyways this phone is best mid range for like one week, but we have pocoF1 now, so it's not best choice anymore.

The poco f1 has a much better gpu that doesn't throttle as badly as the honor play. And the poco has an unlocked bootloader which means fantastic developer support for custom roms and the like.
Both are good phones but the poco f1 is the clear winner. The play is better only if nfc is a must and if you don't wish to use a case.

Between the PogoPhone and this, I'd recommend this any day of the week. The premium build & gameplay-related add-ons in the software are worth it.
Honestly though, if you really want a gaming phone, then you gotta pay more and wait for the ROG Phone or the Razer Phone 2...
