gringo, 19 May 2018wich android will come after android Z ?????????????Good question.
A few suggestions show a few options:
1. a second cycle of A-Z and over and over again.
2, It'll begin a computational AA, AB, AC. ETC.
3. It'll stop using letters altogether. relying on numbers only.

Anonymous, 16 May 2018They are just copying Blackberry 10 os .BB10 OS had all these gestures in 2014 already.
Kiyasuriin, 14 May 2018Because it'll confuse the avarage user. I'd personally prefer it toggleable. ^^;They are just copying Blackberry 10 os .
Hmm.... honestly Android P has become a bit too complex with so many hidden swipes and hidden tabs/menus. The learning curve is gonna be hard for new Android users. They should simplify their OS cause I think this is gonna confuse both OEM brands and potential new smartphone buyers
Whybal, 14 May 2018Wow, Finally, Android and iOS almost caught up on Nokia N9 MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan from 2011 ??... moreYour statement only proven that being first to release a feature like Nokia doesnt make you a better company. That feature from N9 Meegoo disappeared and never really caught up. The one who made it worked and successful is the true hero.
Mhm. It' good, but Google lost its identity now because of this re-alive feature.
Anyhow, it's a useful thing for smartphones with 6" or more displays.
Anonymous, 14 May 2018Remove "Files" and Bluetooth file share while you're at it. I want oreo 8.0 update please

Now that's success !!

Mi mix 2 gestures are far better ( almost perfect ) than this
Arvind7955, 13 May 2018Exactly. So there will be 1 less feature for phones with hardware keys. I wonder why can't pho... moreBecause it'll confuse the avarage user.

Sherlock Mix, 12 May 2018I may be in the minority here, but for me, the best Android ever was Kit Kat. After that it w... moreIn my perspective the software changed as the hardware changed. The way we use smartphone now is different from a few years ago. Form factor no longer the same. Mimicking ios is not true. Evolving like ios is more accurate. The software needs to adapt to the new tall screen aspect ratio. It also need to adapt lack of physical button or capacitive button. Apps need to adapt to these changes too. It simply something that cannot be avoided as technology keep evolving to be better and more intuitive. You may find similar things among android and ios. This is more of familiarization process and merging of similarity in technology. It is easier when things are more generalized. You cant expect completely two different technology as if they came from two different planet.
I feel it more like an iOS rather than with all these white, huge space, and gesture. Not even a Dark Theme is here and Colorful Material Design is gone.
Glad Android is about fredoom, but for how long?
some how, android just can't seem to figure out how to keep things simple. The most overly complicated OS for no reason known to man.
Anonymous, 13 May 2018OEM's disable it when you have physical key's ,just like they disabled on-screen navigation key's.Exactly. So there will be 1 less feature for phones with hardware keys. I wonder why can't phone manufacturers leave navigation bar to user's personal choice.
