Samsung s9 Plus
Nevertheless, Galaxy S9 is the best in all because its shots reflect mostly reality to the object colour and atmosphere. And, that's kind of reasons it's in contrast to the latest S23 itself.
You can also compare their photos to confirm what I'm talking about. However, S9 my love.🥰
Mokhtar, 25 Feb 2020Both of them are great but photography at night is very important for me I chose the Xperia Is Xperia a good phone??
Galaxy Plus is a better version of it's original.
Xperia Compact is a smaller version of it's original.
You cannot compare the two, as they are completely different.
Only an idiot cannot see this.
It simply and literally says "compact", learn the word, lol!

lek, 17 Jul 2018are you kidding me?? software is more important than hardware you know. imagine a food, for ex... moreYes indeed, but the hardware is important too..
A best software with hardware limitation, the result is that the software can't do the best..
If the software more better than hardware, why Samsung go for AMOLED than LCD for their display panel?
Why Samsung always upgrade their chipset for flagship product? Why not just use snapdragon S2?
Why galaxy A9 2018 use four lens instead of just one?
samsung is comparatively best ...
Nahid, 02 Aug 2018But here sammy outperform the xz2Well, That could be. But it's obvious Sony has developed there camera app and image quality apparently, which is a good sign they are back in the game with recently introduced new camera app next flag ship from Sony will outperform Sammy.

lek, 10 Apr 2018I prefer Samsung's output, day and night scene. Okay, now I get it, pixelpeeping is not fair ... moreIf you have seen videos from Pixelpeepers, Noise is something always can easily removed from post processing using apps.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2018Omg. Please use logic. Clearly in that photo they don't have the galaxy in cinema mode or what... moreFinally someone gets it.
As for the "official tester": he didn't think about using a same custom camera app to compare. Camera apps are able to transform and misform so much from color till gamma and so on.
If this was a serious comparison, they had used one standard software.
lek, 10 Apr 2018the noise is still there, whether you zoom in/crop the image, especially in a night scene.
we... moreYet you are unable to point out the very, imaginary, advantages.
Sony has always ruled cameras in phones already because of the lens.
It is always by all means unfair judging cameras by their software, where true comparisons are needed with the same software.
Newer samsungs have a slight more light sensitivity, but is nothing compared to sony. Because sony has a constant minimum, wether it is tele or wide. Most pictures, even selfies, are made with tele. Where wide is only active/used when taking pictures within less than 1m distance. Even a full meter is reached very easily.
So with Sony his constant performance and Carl Seiz lens, how is a mass producer a rival... Logic cannot explain.
Anonymous, 09 Apr 2018Omg. Please use logic. Clearly in that photo they don't have the galaxy in cinema mode or what... moreSony' s picture seems to be true to life. Real life image is better than reducing all noise which makes the picture edited or fake. The software of Galaxy S9 makes picture clean as posssible. It doesn't appear natural.
AnonD-186803, 15 Apr 2018Not at all. Just the truth. The two companies take different approaches to handling detail ... moreI've seen very few instances where the Samsung actually did smudged out detail compared to the Sony, it's because the Sony retains so much noise (somehow even at base ISO, no less, I haven't seen so much luminance noise from my Note 8's RAW outputs below ISO100) that it's almost impossible to make out the finest pixel-grade details.
Well, at least XZ2's light trails are better than P20Pro's ghosts.
BeeAnt, 23 Apr 2018I'm using Sony since the day of W950i till Xperia X. And I admit that they had bad control in... moreHigh dynamic range on Samsung have wash out some of the color and the detail.
I'm using Sony since the day of W950i till Xperia X.
And I admit that they had bad control in dynamic range. But this time around, it all changes!
Now let's waif for S9+ versus XZ2 Premium ;)
Anonymous, 14 Apr 2018Nice twisting attemptNot at all. Just the truth.
The two companies take different approaches to handling detail vs. Noise. To criticise the Sony without recognising the issues with the Samsung is just fanboying.
It's one of the things I like about GSMs comparison, they recognise that there are pros and cons to both.
