Still using this phone for reading Novel and Facebook. I just change the battery last year to Nohon Battery. I still got 10H++ SOT on this day. Normally I have to charge after 3-4 day

Great review, the Gentle Giant that still slumbering in the midst of time. I know my comments are tad late in 2021, but as a testament I am still holding this "Giant plablet which got discontinued" close at heart and my pocket daily use. 3 years on and battery life exceed one day use at about 24-25% charge remaining. Yes the LCD screen probably the reasons it's not battery hungry. Lags wise it's during heavy tasking use mostly switching between gaming and messaging apps, not too drastic. No heating issues at least to my palm (toasty). Camera seen better days, but my usual use of photography involves mostly documents so yeah still clearly eligible. Might I add the option of headphone jack (almost extinct trend)? SD card expansion (may be going extinct) actually reached up to 256GB on my XmMM2 (I kid you not!) Only pitfalls of older giants is the lack of updates expected in 2021, so you won't be getting the best of the newer features rolled out in further MIUI and Android versions. A setback I am willing to endure for now.

The Mi Max 2 started on Nougat in 2017 and got updated to Android Pie, so you really are wrong to accuse Xiaomi of not giving updates to a 3 years old phone.

I mean it works ok except it's downfall is it's huge size, you would have thought a phone this size would be great well try walking around with it and you will understand why so many of them end up on eBay.

I am interested in buying this phone. However, I am wondering if anyone had problems with the malicious apps and adwares? I am currently using Xiaomi Redmi note 3 pro. It was fine for a week, then I had to battle with those pop up ads and unauthorized self installed apps for a while. Still having the same problem ever now and then. Really want to hear honest feedback regarding to this issue.

I'm surely enjoying the use of MI Max 2 it's has everything great.. I have one problem with it that it battery capacity is very large but when it only reaches 50% it's off. And I had thought of changing battery but in Africa there is no where I could find its spear considering I'm in Tanzania.. I was requesting if there is possibility of having its spear battery and also I wanna be agent of Xiaomi in Tanzania since every one loves this phone but there is no means of having it in here.. Thank you in Advance
