Got a slightly used one for less than 200€ some weeks ago. Awesome phone for the price. If you don't care about gaming and picture quality too much, you will be hard pressed to find a more satisfying device.
Very nice design and build quality, great screen, great battery life, pretty snappy and smooth, very few bugs and crashes. I don't think I will be updating it to Android 7, though (it could ruin everything)

Great phone! It suits my needs especially about the battery, screen, performance and ram management. I dont need a flagship because I'm not a very heavy smartphone user. If you're an average user of smartphones, A5 2017 is great!

geewaiho, 12 May 2017Once xiaomi start selling in the west, I can imagine the prices won't remain as cheap. The Mi6 is already "not that cheap" compared to the Mi5 and Mi5s because they are improving the materials and build quality, but the redmi and redmi note are cheap enough to compete even if the price gets higher once they officially launch the brand in more countries. At least that's what is happening in Mexico, and they are offering a warranty valid for the whole latinamerica, not just Mexico. And they'll probably expand to North America from that point in the near future.

Gearbest, for example, even have wharehouses in the U.K. So it's not as risky as years before. Not as reliable as buying one in India, where Xiaomi is even opening shops... or Mexico, where they just have launched the brand... But that wil change shortly.

Imagine having to send in your faulty handset to China and the wait, seems like a massive hassle. I buy my phones either through carrier, an accredited uK retail or ebay. EBay Is fully protected so not an issue for me..

I have had a Xiaomi note 2 which was great for what I paid but softw... moreIt is true that Chinese brands like Xiaomi are a risky investment because they haven't go oficially into the international market and that means poor post-sale support in terms of warranty and support, but the quality is not such a big problem when you get an original device. The real problem is that there are too many fake Xiaomi devices out there! The statistics are scary! So yes, it's more reliable to buy brands like Samsung... However there are fake ones too, so no matter what brand you choose, you have to be careful about where you buy your next phone.

But You better do a research about compatibility between Samsung and Sony devices. If both support Miracast then no problem.
