Most people use tablet to browse the web, read docs, or play games. In those cases, 4:3 is better than 16:9. 16:9 is too narrow especially on a 7" screen. It's only good for watching videos.
Narrow screen and short battery life. Maybe that's the reason the price of N7 dropped.

Displays are pretty much all high quality, so I don't think the man in the street will notice.

Id say its a lot better then nexus 7, iPad mini is a 8 inch tablet with the pixel density + it is a premium made device and lastly it's almost twice as fast as nexus 7 and has tablet apps and battery which makes it a lot better

The Nexus7 (2013) shot themselves on the foot with the small battery. A decent battery would've made it perfect. What's the point of having a thin tablet if you have haul around a charger with you? It's all about usability.
Try playing a graphics intensive game with the N7. You'll be lucky to get 2 hours. 2 hours to charge the N7 to play 2 hours of game. Total fail.

A lot better than Nexus 7(2013 edition)in benchmarks and better in battery life test.And it has a larger screen and better build quality than Nexus 7(2013 Edition).

Even Chinese does not want the cheaper ipad mini2. Most of them will go for full ipad or they don't buy any of them. They say, buying smaller ipad mini will only bring disgrace like they couldn't afford the full ipad.
Btw, reported by Chinese website, full ipad retina screen are better than ipad mini2.
One thing thought, both ipad are ugly when hold in landscape mode with the very thick side bezel (top & botttom bezel in portrait).

if you android tablet with power saving mode feature, enabled it you'll see it last as longer as any ipad.
