RedmiBook 13 arrives with slim bezels and 10th gen Intel processors

Alongside the highly anticipated Redmi K30 series, we got a sleek ultrabook that brings narrow bezels, a durable metal unibody, 40Whr battery and 10th gen Intel CPUs. The RedmiBook 13 comes with a very compact footprint which is narrower than an A4 sheet and weighs in at just 1.23kg.

Upfront we have a 13.3-inch IPS panel with FHD resolution and an advertised 89% screen-to-body ratio. The bezels on the top and sides are quite slim with a slightly larger bottom one which also houses the RedmiBook branding.

Under the hood, you get an Intel i5-10210U or i7-10510U paired with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD storage as standard. Both the i5 and i7 versions come with the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU and 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. There is also a baseline i5 model with integrated graphics.

In terms of I/O you get two USB 3.1 ports, a full-sized HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated charging port. The battery comes in at 40Whr, supports 1C fast charging and is rated at 11 hours of battery life.

On the software side, we have Windows 10 Home with pre-installed Office Student edition. Xiaomi is also bringing its mutual transmission support for easy file transfers between the laptop and Xiaomi smartphones.

The RedmiBook 13 will start at CNY 4,199 ($597) for the baseline version with integrated graphics while the i5 model with GeForce MX250 will go for CNY 4,499 ($640). The i7 model will go for CNY 5,199 ($739). Pre-orders are scheduled to commence today while official sales will begin on December 12 in China. There is still no word on international availability.
