Yesterday, Xiaomi representatives said the company is prepared to push 1 million Redmi Note 7 units by the end of January. Today was the first flash sale of the phone and 100,000 devices were sold in just 8 minutes 36 seconds, Lu said in a Weibo post.
The Redmi Note 7 arrived with 48 MP camera, Snapdragon 660 and attractive price tags between $150 and $210, depending on the RAM and storage. Half of the units were sold via the online Mi Store, while the other 50,000 were pushed via third-party online resellers like TMall and JD.com.
The next flash sale is scheduled for Friday, January 18. It will start at 10:00 local time and it is likely to be over in minutes as well. The phone will be available in all three colors - Blue, Black, and Twilight Gold. It comes with a standard 10W charger in the box, but for just CNY10 more you can get the faster 18W option.
