According to rumors from China, the Redmi Note 17 will be unveiled in July, with the Redmi Note 17 Pro (and a possible Pro+) following in either late July or August.
The Redmi Note 17 is allegedly powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, and it has a flat screen with "1.5K" resolution, a 50MP main camera, and a 9,000mAh battery. The phone also comes with water resistance, though the exact IP rating hasn't been outed yet.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+
The Redmi Note 17 Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 SoC. It will have a flat screen with "1.5K" resolution too, as well as water resistance of some sort. However, it will up the game in the camera and battery departments, with a 200MP main sensor and a 10,000 mAh battery on board.
Note that these are the Chinese models, and the global versions will most likely differ in specs. They will also be launching much later, if history is any indication. Finally, if you’re wondering about the naming scheme, so are we - Xiaomi seems intent on skipping 16 and going from 15 straight to 17 with these, just like it did with its flagship series last year.
I was expecting Redmi Note 15 underperforming sales for them to bring back the 3.5mm jack. Guess I'm gonna have to wait for the Redmi Note 18. I'm a very patient man. How are you brother?
