Xiaomi Android Rumors

Xiaomi is eyeing a sequel last year’s Redmi A1 with the aptly named Redmi A2. The upcoming budget device got its official images and detailed specs shared ahead of the official announcement by WinFuture.

Redmi A2 will bring an essentially unchanged design from its predecessor with a waterdrop notch screen and a dual camera setup on its back. The new bit is the chipset – the phone will reportedly launch with MediaTek’s new Helio G36 chipset. The rest of the spec sheet is carried over from the Redmi A1.

You can expect a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage which should be expandable. The back should house an 8MP main camera and an unspecified secondary AI module. The software side will be covered by Android 13 (Go Edition) while the battery should come in at 5,000 mAh with 10W charging support over the dated microUSB port.

Redmi A2 is expected to launch in a few weeks time for €97. It will be available in black, blue and green colors
