Realme Android

Realme is changing tack – for a couple of years the focus was on the Realme number series in the European and Indian markets. The GT series was redirected to limited releases and the last models to launch in Europe and India were the GT2 and GT Neo3 generation.

We spoke to Chase Xu after today’s event, which introduced the Realme GT 6 and brought the GT 6T to Europe to learn about the company’s plans for the future.

Going forward, Realme wants to release two GT series phones globally each year. This will eventually include a GT Pro model as a more premium offering, though that will come in a few years' time.

The goal is for the GT series to eventually become Realme’s most popular offering, surpassing the number series.

A while back, the company posted on X saying that the “GT series will be launched in Italy, India, Indonesia, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and more.”

The Realme GT 6 has already reached the Philippines and is available exclusively through Lazada (PHP 31,500 for 12/256GB). The GT 6 is in Malaysia too, starting at MYR 2,600 and here it is joined by the Realme GT 6T, which has a promo price of MYR 2,000. The other markets mentioned should catch up soon.
