Following the first teaser Realme set a date for the debut of its 300W wired charging tech. The company will reveal the technology on August 14 at a dedicated event in China.
The "technological breakthrough" will be a the next step, following the introduction of 240W rates introduced in February 2023, but we are unlikely to see it implemented in a phone at this point.
Xiaomi's Redmi announced a similar technology that can charge a smartphone from 0 to 100% in under five minutes, but almost 18 months after its unveiling, we are yet to see it in a commercially available device.
Currently, it is Realme that holds the record for fastest charging on a commercial smartphone - the GT Neo 5 launched in China with 240W fast charging and later introduced to international markets under the name Realme GT3. The company promised 0 to 100% in under 10 minutes, and our real-life tests were not far from that - 1 to 100% in 11 minutes and 16 seconds.
The Realme announcement next week is right in time for the 828 Realme Fan Festival (8.28 as in August 28, 2018 when Realme launched its first smartphone as an independent brand).
@gsmarena you have mistake in video in either 4K@30fps or your comment about 4K@60fps.
Friend said heat will go up thats correct but longer the chrging longer the stress for battery so if a device will be top from flat under 5 minutes battery wont heat up much to get some damage or worse.
