My phone battery drain so fast after updrade to UI 5 Android 14

Oskar, 18 Feb 2025Why does it say "9 Pro+" even though its 6.4 inches but 9 Pro is 6.6 inches💀Basically the Pro "plus" models have the best vamera and chipset in it's lineup. It does not depend on screen size. I had realme 5 pro (back then there were no plus models and it was the top of the line in its servies) and it was smaller then 5 and 5i.
I really love the small form factor of my realme 9 pro plus, this and the headphones jack made me buy it. The camera is superb, it has OIS which makes the difference.
The main down side is the storage, it's only 128gb , and the battery is just average, it can easily complete a day on moderate usage, its not low by any means, but under heavy use it's hard to complete a full day, but the fast charger means you only need 10-15 minutes of charging to get a full day even under heavy usage.

I bought this phone on sep 2022,still I have not faced any major issues, Display is good, speaker quality is awesome, if you don't load your phone to max storage then this can perform very smoothly. I think this can easily work for another two more years.

Omer , 05 Sep 2024Camera was best in Android 12..in 14 it's goodAgreed. But 5G connectivity was patchy with A12 and became stable with A13. On A14, the phone performs awesome, but camera as good as A13.
This is one of the few masterpieces from Realme other than Realme X2 Pro.

Been using this phone since more than 2 years now. Very happy and satisfied with it. The performance of the phone is still good in day to day usage. Phone has not given me any major issues yet. I have not updated to A14 as I've read the update is causing some issues. Only miss sd card slot. Rest everything good.

Hello,
I would like to ask for your help. I have a Realme 9 Pro+ phone with UI 4. I want to record 1080p videos with the factory camera app, but I am not satisfied with the quality. It's not very sharp, looks rather 720p quality, 20 Mbit videos. It is not possible to switch the stabilizer on/off or set the bitrate. It is probably a software error because the camera knows more. 4K videos are sharp, but the stabilizer does not work there.
- Is there a trick to make high-quality 1080p videos with the 9 Pro+?
- What is your experience with UI 5 on 1080p?
- Is there any other camera app that can be used to make sharper 1080p videos and can also be installed to the 9 Pro+? It does not even allow the Samsung A33 camera app to be installed. But it makes a very nice full HD video.

New update, realme UI 5.0, Official version, RMX3393_14.0.0.900(EX01) just installed a few minutes ago. A new large update, 859.82 MB. So far no issues. I wonder if this is the last major update for my phone...

A few days ago, an update to 14.0.0.701 (EX01) was released. I installed it. Quite a large update, over 900 MB. The system seems slower at first, but it has to settle down. It looks like it was a complete system. So far I don't see any errors.

Battery performance and screen on time instantly dropped around 20 % and camera quality around 10-15%.
Please update about pros and cons of android 14. Thank you 😊👍🏻

I took a risk and installed Android 14. I don't know yet whether it's worth it, but I had minor difficulties with the access rights. For example, the Music app didn't show any albums, or local apps had a hang. I haven't tested anything else yet. Not much has actually changed visually. It looks the same for me. I'm sure you have to choose a different theme.
