Realme Android

Realme held a media preview yesterday to detail the periscope camera tech that will be used on the Realme 12 Pro series.

The Realme 12 Pro series will likely include the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. The lineup will use the Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS for the primary camera with a 24mm equivalent focal length. The periscope camera will use the OV64B sensor.

Realme says the implementation of the periscope camera on the Realme 12 Pro series is the same as the flagship GT5 Pro's. The brand also said the lineup will feature a 3x Portrait Mode with a 71mm focal length, with the telephoto unit facilitating up to 120x digital zoom.

The Realme 12 Pro series will also feature an ultrawide camera, which, together with the periscope telephoto unit, will offer "lossless zoom at 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 6x, providing a full-focal-length lossless zoom photographic experience comparable to that of a flagship device."

In addition to detailing the camera system, Realme also revealed the design of the Submarine Blue version of a Realme 12 Pro series smartphone, which is likely the Pro+ model. The lineup has been designed in collaboration with luxury watch design master Ollivier Saveo.

Realme said the lineup will feature a CNC-cut golden fluted bezel, polished sunburst dial, premium vegan leather, and a 3D jubilee bracelet.

Surely they would give a shitty ultrawide camera to screw this up & one of the lenses would have 1080p as maximum video resolution (not 4K) !

Design is a complete nightmare, what else can you expect from Chinese. We here call it 'gypsy design', fake leather, fake gold, these awful gradients. For those who wear a 30 USD Rolex xD
