Qualcomm CEO confirms Exynos-Snapdragon split for S24 series

Qualcomm Samsung Rumors

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon has mostly confirmed reports that the Galaxy S24 series will feature both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets.

Speaking at an earnings report conference call, he said that Qualcomm will hаve the majority market share of the Galaxy S24 series, that is coming soon. It likely means that the reports that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for Galaxy), independent on market, are true.

Qualcomm CEO seemingly confirms Exynos-Snapdragon S24 duality

He didn't elaborate further, but it's as official a statement as can be expected. The majority of the market share makes sense, given that the Galaxy S Ultra is the highest-grossing S series phone, and that reports peg the North American S24 units as also being Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered. The same reports point to only the Korean and European Galaxy S24 and S24+ featuring the Exynos 2400.

Samsung also teased the Galaxy S24 Ultra's ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace tech, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset - a solid nod to the Ultra being Snapdragon-only.

Untrue, some S series phones performed better with Exynos. Even as late as the Note8 which had about 20% more battery life than the SD version.

Samsung does it because people allow them to get away with it. Time and time again the Exynos proved to be inferior to its QC sibling. Samsung has been doing this in Europe for the past 10 years and they will continue to do it until we stop them. Sto...
