Pocophone Android Firmware Updates

The Pocophone F1 or also known as POCO F1 in India just started receiving the stable OTA update to Android Pie. It's already running on MIUI 10 since the beginning of November, but the software was based on Android 8.1 Oreo so the bump to 9.0 Pie is more than welcome.

The update weighs a whopping 1.7GB and brings some of the much-anticipated Pie features. Xiaomi is currently seeding the MIUI 10.1.3.0 (PEJMIFI) version of the software. In addition to the new look, the upgrade introduces Google Lens support in the default camera app and also fixes a number of persisting issues.

However, Xioami giveth and Xiaomi taketh. Some users that are already running on the new Pie are complaining about some small but irritating bugs like games not running in full-screen mode or not being able to hide the notch anymore. It appears that the option is gone and we hope Xiaomi will bring it back in a future update.

After updating my Poco f1 to Android Pie , my games are not running in full screen . Please fix this ASAP . This affects by gameplay adversely. 😑😐😶@IndiaPOCO @jaimani @cmanmohan pic.twitter.com/AgS68T9isD

But you can watch 1080p on it other places than netflix. . . Neflix is limited to 540p and for that screen size and moving images (video) it's really doesn't make that much of a difference. Actually 960*540 is even "retina" at about an armslength awa...
