A new generation of Poco F-series is upon us, with the debut of the Poco F4 GT model. It returns to using a flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while dialing up the charging speed.

The powerful chipset is reined in by the LiquidCool 3.0 technology, which is made out of two vapor chambers for cooling. For comparison, the Poco F3 used version 1.0 of this tech. Also, the chambers are 170% larger than the ones inside the F3 GT.
Poco F4 GT's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is cooled by two LiquidCool 3.0 vapor chambersAll that power wants to express itself and the Adreno 730 GPU (50% faster than the previous generation) will get to do just that on the flat 6.67” AMOLED display. It is a 10-bit panel (1 billion colors) with 120 Hz refresh rate and high frequency PWM dimming. The quality of the display was attested by DisplayMate, which gave it an A+ score after setting or matching 15 display performance records.
The display has a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, up from 360 Hz on the F3 and matching the F3 GT. Like the previous GT model, this one has a keen interest in gaming, so it provides additional controls in the form of shoulder buttons. They have been tested in 100+ popular games, but can also serve as shortcuts for normal use (e.g. launching the camera).
The Poco F4 GT is the fastest charging Poco yet with the 120W HyperCharge system. The phone’s 4,700 mAh battery can be filled to 100% in 17 minutes when in a hurry. There is another mode that allows charging while you play – it generates less heat, but is still quite fast with a 0-100% time of 27 minutes. And here’s a neat thing, Poco is including an angled USB-C cable, which is more comfortable to use while holding the phone horizontally.

The F4 GT is equipped with two Sony image sensors. The one on the back is an IMX686, a 64 MP 1/1.73" sensor (0.8 µm native pixels, 1.6 µm with binning) and it sits behind an f/1.9 aperture. Also here is an 8 MP ulta wide camera (120°, f/2.2) and a 2 MP macro camera. Additionally, there is a flicker sensor.
The second Sony sensor is the 20 MP IMX596 inside the punch holed selfie camera. By the way, the back sports some RGB backlighting, which is used for notifications, battery charge indicator and (of course) some colorful flair when gaming.

The Poco brand is introducing a premium after-sales service, which gives F4 GT users one free screen repair during the first 6 months of ownership.
The Poco F4 GT will become available this Thursday (April 28) through leading online stores in multiple regions. It will come in Stealth Black, Knight Silver and Cyber Yellow.
There will be two versions to pick from – the base 8/128 GB unit has an MSRP of €600 and the upgraded 12/256 GB version will go for €700. In both cases you are looking at fast LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1.
Note that during the first week of sales there will be an early bird price of €500 and €600, respectively, for the two memory configurations (while supplies last). Also, the phone comes with 2 months of YouTube premium for free.
PS. this is essentially a global version of the Redmi K50 Gaming.
