I recently noticed that the camera is not actually 8MP but 5MP (my new phone shows the resolution of images in the gallery app). False advertising! That explains why the images were so bad.

I think this was too charitable of an interpretation - the camera app has an optional watermark (disabled by default) that says "AI Quad Camera", so I think it's at least somewhat intended to be misleading.

Bought to get VoLTE, worked for 5 weeks, now won't connect calls. Carrier provider says not LTE model, manuf. says it is. Trying to figure this out. Going to buy a LTE 5G SIM, maybe that is the answer.

It will only work on T-Mobile in the US, because at&t has an arbitrary list of devices that work with VoLTE. Even those carriers will likely have no idea what it is and be unhelpful so you should just insert an already active SIM. One reviewer says it works on Verizon but it is missing band 13 so you might have coverage issues.
