The Xiaomi Mix Flip was introduced last week in China, and we brought a phone for a review. We just completed the battery test and we are ready to share our findings.
The clamshell has one of the biggest batteries on the market, a 4,780 mAh cell. The phone also comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and two AMOLED displays that should be moderately power-hungry.
With that in mind, we established an 11:58h Active Use score, which is less than the year-old Find N3 Flip and the premium Razr 50 Ultra, both of which have a more power-hungry chipset. The 21:20h of call time result is a bit low, but the Mix Flip managed to save face with the best Web performance among competitors.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 has the same chipset but a 15% smaller battery, affecting the overall score. Nevertheless, the Xiaomi clamshell excels over the Samsung phone but falls short of other competitors in the Video and Game playback scores.
All the sliders in our Battery Test 2.0 tool are slideable, so feel free to experiment to match your specific use. The full review of the Mix Flip is arriving soon, so stay tuned!
Yes, weaker chip but barely noticeable in real world performance since it's fast enough for majority users. No one bothers to play demanding games on flip phones, especially with pathetic heat management and subpar battery life in Galaxy flip ph...
while the performance is close in some ways compared to the flip, the charging makes it far better with 67watts
The battery widget is a bit buggy. Sometimes the other phones just show 'h' instead of their active use scores and I'd have to refresh a few times to see the scores for the other phones.
