The Oppo Reno2 is a well equipped upper-midranger with a unique design. It borrows the shark fin pop-up camera from the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom and embodies the spirit of Oppo’s Reno brand. Join Will as he goes through the Reno2’s design highlights, camera performance, and nuances of the Oppo Reno2.
The phone has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and Full HD resolution. There is no notch or cut-out thanks to that shark fin pop-up camera, and the main cameras offer a nice, well-rounded camera experience.
The Reno2 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and it comes with 256GB of onboard storage. A 4,000 mAh battery powers the phone and it recharges quickly thanks to the 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 adapter. An in-display fingerprint scanner is standard, but face unlock is possible.
There’s a fully-equipped quad-camera array that includes a main 48MP camera, 8MP ultra-wide, 13MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP monochrome depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP module.
The phone is about €450 and while it may be underpowered for the category, it makes up for it in just the right amount of quirkiness in design and flashiness, while also embodying the Reno’s DNA. It isn’t such an easy recommendation with so much fierce competition in the price range, but the Oppo Reno2 will certainly not disappoint.
Go for realme XT pro in december.Same device and also UI is going to be revamped in few months.
