Oppo’s Find X5 is the direct sequel to last year’s Find X3 and as such brings similar specifications to it Pro sibling though with some omissions. With our Find X5 written review out the way, we now bring you the video version which recaps the pros and cons of the device and how it fared in our testing.
Find X5 brings a curved 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It’s not an LTPO panel like last year meaning the refresh rate does not offer granular control. The phone brings a premium glass and metal construction with a unique camera cutout that tapers upwards.
The Snapdragon 888 is last year’s flagship chipset but it performs admirably here. The 4,800 mAh battery delivered a 108-hour battery endurance rating which is quite good and you do get 80W fast charging with a full charge taking 42 minutes. The camera setup on the X5 is largely carried over from last year’s Find X3 series with a 50MP main cam, 13MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrwaide snapper.
Shots coming from main cam are decent though the quality is a tier below flagships from competitors. The telephoto module captures good detail but tends to darken images while the ultrawide snapper can also serve as a macro cam thanks to its autofocus.
