The Reno Ace 2 has been leaking for some time, and finally we know when it will end - at the date the official launch was just set for April 13. The information was revealed by Brian Shen, VP at Oppo, on his Weibo profile.
The Reno Ace 2 is expected to stick with the 65W wired fast charging of its predecessor Oppo Reno Ace. This phone is likely to have a circular camera setup on the back, while the front will be a flat panel with a single punch hole in the upper left corner. Rumors say the new phone will come with the massively fast 40W wireless charging, meaning Oppo is likely to introduce a new charging pad as well.
In other specs, the Reno Ace 2 is likely to have Snapdragon 865 with the X55 modem for 5G connectivity, a 6.5” AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 48MP main camera, part of the quad-cam setup on the back. Two memory options appeared on TENAA - 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB, but we might see some more in the mix during the launch.
Could be interesting if they priced it as a 'flagship killer', but knowing Oppo, it's going to be just another generic flagship-priced phone trying to act like premium iPhone.
