Oppo Reno 5 F is the first OPPO phone I have ever used. It was pricey two years ago when I bought it(₦156.000 in Enugu Nigeria) but looking back today, I must say, I am glad I invested in this phone.
It's probably the best phone I have ever used, and I have used so many phones. This is the first phone I have used for 2 years at a row, and its still as good as the day I bought it!
It actually seems to get better as you use it. I hardly do phone reviews, but I had to do this because of its greatness.
I had initially bought the phone to manage till I can get a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 back then, but I have given up on that plan long ago, since there is obviously no need to change the phone. I am sure I will use this phone for years to come.
It's been more than a year since o started using Reno 5f, still works perfectly.
Note: I use phones beyond an average person.
Truth is Oppo is underrated

I had been using Xiaomi 11 Lite for past 6 months. It then started shutting down and starting up until it died completely. Also notice very hot heat. Faulty start button ? I don't know but I seem to hear some complaints on the same issue. Even the service centre said it did not have sufficient start button in store so I can only guess this is a common problem with Xiaomi 11 Lite. I just bought Oppo Reno F to replace the 11 Lite while the latter is being sent to service centre. Yes F5 is inferior in specs but I hope it is more durable than 11 Lite

Sadly their software and quality are dropping, with bugs literally everywhere. This is why I jumped to another brand for now, and I'm glad to do so because this 5F serves me well despite having a lower spec.

If you go through the comment section of it, you'll see a lot of other people are having issues with it too. It's better to go with the 5G version or other devices if you don't want to take risks.

Not something you would want to get for this price
I get bugs even when I'm not playing anything heavy or just normal texting
Other than fast charging there's literally nothing special about it the camera feels normal to me too but fast charging is common now too so yea you get what I mean
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2021Without good specs, I am sure user experience will not good too. My opinion is different though. I have a Mi 11 Lite 4G and this model as well. The specs of Mi 11 Lite wins a lot as compared to 5F, notably 732G vs P95, stereo vs mono speaker, 90hz Fluid Amoled vs standard Amoled and etc. 5F just can't keep up with Mi 11 Lite. That's about the specs of both devices.
However, the results are clearly different between both models as per my own experience (as a normal user without gaming). ColorOS is lighter and more stable than the MIUI where I could hardly experience any bugs and most importantly it's free of ads (I know the ads on MIUI can be turned off, but it just feels bad IMO). 90hz is buttery smooth, well it supposes to be, but the lack of optimization makes it bad as I can notice some lags in social media (FB, IG and etc). Not to mention that 732G in the Mi 11 Lite will heat up for unknown reasons while the P95 won't in the same condition.
I'm not favouring any brands though, don't get me wrong. Those I mentioned above is just some of my UX and what I've noticed (there's more but I'm not going to list everything out). Long story short, this experience changed my perspective about OPPO and Xiaomi. Anyway, each person has their own views, so just go for the brands or models you like. Cheers.
