The Oppo Reno 10x zoom didn’t get a successor last week when Oppo unveiled three Reno2 phones. The new flagship seems to be working its way through TENAA, however, or at least its 5G model is. As a reminder, the original Oppo Reno 5G added a Qualcomm X50 5G modem to the 10x zoom hardware. It’s not clear if the Reno2 flagship will be split into 4G and 5G versions, however.
The Oppo Reno2 5G has a quad camera like its siblings, though the third one from top is clearly a periscope module (notice the telltale square lens). This will give it proper optical zoom - unfortunately, TENAA is yet to publish the full specs, so we can't tell if it's 5x again or if Oppo changed the focal length.
There's no indication of what the fourth camera does - judging by the other Reno2 models, it's a depth sensor for portrait mode shots. Oppo is yet to reveal a phone with a dedicated macro camera, which is a common pick for the fourth cam in a quad camera setup.

The 5G model is also larger than the others with a 6.6” screen – same size as the Reno 10x zoom/Reno 5G. The battery capacity is 3,930mAh, so essentially unchanged from the previous model.
Oppo is already teasing a Reno model with a 90Hz screen and 50W Super VOOC charging (all current Renos have 60Hz displays and 20W VOOC). There’s no official unveiling date for the Reno2 flagship, but IFA starts later this week and it will be a great opportunity to flex some 5G muscle.
