Oppo Xiaomi vivo Android Mobile hardware Rumors

A new report from the famous Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station suggests the upcoming Chinese flagships Oppo Find X7 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the vivo X100 Pro+ will come with an upgraded 1-inch Sony sensor called Lytia LYT-900.

Oppo Find X7 Pro to adopt a new Sony LYT-900 sensor, followed by Xiaomi 14 Ultra and vivo X100 Pro+

According to the leak, all three companies are already testing the new hardware and the results are promising. The sensor will introduce a new DCG (Dual Conversion Gain) technology, which probably refers to the new stacked design that Sony has been pushing for the past year. So far we've seen smaller imagers that claim to match the performance of a 1-inch type and now we are about to see the best of both worlds.

DCS believes that the Find X7 Pro will be the first one to show off the new optimized 1-inch Sony sensor. However, all three manufacturers are expected to release their phones in close succession next year, so there won't be lengthy exclusivity.

DCG here means a new readout format supported by Snapdragon 8 gen 3's ISP. DCG itself is an old technology that existed for quite a few years now.
