I've owned this device since 2018. It's not the best phone. Probably the worst.
First, the touch accuracy on the screen is so terrible you can easily mistouch any buttons on the screen if you set display icons to be compact/small.
Second, this phone doesn't have any new software updates besides security updates but since Android 7 has been discontinued, security updates are no longer available making this phone unsafe to use. Because it's stuck at Android 7, some apps are no longer being supported on this platform.
Third, there's also no option to install custom software as the bootloader is locked (cannot be unlocked even with the OEM Unlock toggled on in Developer settings) and Oppo doesn't offer an option to unlock it.
This phone could have been still usable (despite the touch problem) if only it had an an Android version update or an option to install third party Android OS but the lack of that option means this phone is not worth having.

Im using it for almost 4 5yrs untill now bcoming 2nd phone. Surprisingly oppo battery working very well and lasting compared to my new phone which i need to charged it 2x 3x daily. Oppo only need fully charge 1x and it last until u close ur eyes in the night 😂😂😂. The only thing i make it 2nd phone now bcz of the storage not so big to keep much documentation and pics. Overall im satisfied wth oppo f5

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2022Worst display I ever saw. People look like manikansLol if you think this is the worst display, clearly you've never seen the LCD on Xiaomi phones. At least this phone has exceptional contrast ratio for an IPS LCD.

woah I didn't expect people has a lot of negative comments of this phone. I've been using this phone since the day of it's released and it's still working so fine this 2022. The only damage it has is the LED screen it turns black everytime I open it but it's my fault I keep falling my phone of high heights but to think of it, the phone is really strong to survive till present day

This phone is disappoints me. Still no OS update, you'll always got stuck at Android 7. You can't even get Android 8, because the devs don't even wanted to gives us OS updates, instead just a single security update, which is just unnecessary. While playing games, you'll experience frame drops everytime, even on smaller games. Definitely not worth it if you're seeking new phones.
