After yesterday's early release, today Oppo formally announced the F3 Plus and its smaller F3 sidekick. They are a part of Oppo's Selfie Expert series of phones with prominence on the front facing camera performance.
The F3 Plus has a unibody aluminum design with a six-string antenna pattern. On the front is the dual front facing camera system. One of them has 16 megapixel resolution with 1/3-inch sensor and f2.0 aperture and the second is a wide-angle lens with 8 megapixel resolution and 120-degree angle 6-element lens. The camera app includes Oppo's Beautify 4.0 mode for skin tone enhancement and a bokeh effect to blur the background in your selfies.
On the back is a 16 megapixel 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX398 sensor with 1.4 micron pixels, 120-degree wide angle lens, f1.7 aperture and dual PDAF.
Other specs include a 6.0-inch 1080p IPS LCD, Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 4000mAh battery with VOOC fast charging, fingerprint sensor, and Android 6.0 with ColorOS 3.0.
The Oppo F3 Plus is priced at INR 30,990 ($473) and will be available in India in black and gold starting April 1, 2017 with registrations opening today.
The company didn't go in much detail about the F3, only highlighting its smaller 5.5-inch display as a difference. It will still retain the dual front facing cameras, and will be arriving in May.
Watching an unboxing video and it seems like the Oppo F1 Plus is actually running on the Snapdragon 652 and not the Snapdragon 653. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/kIJJv8Blolw
Wow, this is it. Dual front facing camera! I suggested this to huawei somewhere ending of last year and early last year to do dual front facing camera in their P10 but they did not. Now you have lead this enterprise, may be Huawei will join later on....
