Oppo is preparing for the Diwali celebrations in India with a new phone, new colors for old gadgets and various deals and discounts.
The Oppo F19s is very similar to the vanilla F19. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM (plus up to 5 GB virtual RAM) and 128 GB storage (there is no memory expansion slot).
As before, the front is home to a 6.43” display, an AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,400 px resolution (20:9). While its refresh rate is 60 Hz, this panel does have a high touch sampling rate – 135 Hz in normal operation and 180 Hz in Game Mode. The display offers full coverage of the sRGB color gamut and 92% of DCI-P3. The fingerprint reader is built into the display.
The main camera is unchanged – technically a triple camera, the one interesting unit is the 48 MP sensor (f1/1.7 lens aperture). Next to it are a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. More interesting is the 16 MP camera on the front. Both rear and front cameras can record 1080p video at 30 fps.
The F19s is slender (it measures a hair under 8 mm thick), but it packs a beefy 5,000 mAh battery. It charges at up to 33W using a SuperVOOC 2.0 adapter (older VOOC chargers are supported as well, of course).
The USB-C port is wired only for 2.0 speeds, but on the plus side there is an actual 3.5 mm headphone jack. You don’t see many of those around nowadays. And you get headphones, a charger, even a case is included in the box. What year is this?
Having a look at the connectivity section, this is a dual-SIM 4G phone with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support (including AAC and aptX codecs), but there is no NFC. Positioning is handled by GPS/GLONAS/Galileo/BeiDou.
The phone comes in two eye-catching colorways. One is Glowing Black (with glow-in-the-dark paint), the other is Glowing Gold, which feature’s the first AG Shimmering Sand technology (it sounds like Oppo will use this for other phones too).
The Oppo F19s can be ordered today from Oppo’s official store. It costs INR 20,000 ($270), but comes with 6 months of screen protection (i.e. a one-time free screen replacement) and extended warranty. There are also a number of cashback offers available, plus you get 50% discount on the Oppo Enco W11 buds (bringing their price down to INR 1,000). But there’s another pair of TWS headphones you may want to look at first, more on that in a second.
First, gold is the new black – the Oppo Reno6 Pro 5G (the one with a Dimensity 1200 chipset) got a new paint job for Diwali dubbed Majestic Gold. The rest of the phone is unchanged. You will be able to pic one up starting on October 3 (Sunday) at INR 42,000 ($570) for a 12/256 GB unit. That’s actually INR 2,000 more than the Aurora and Stellar Black colors.

With the purchase of a Reno6 Pro you get 28% off the Enco W51 TWS buds or 10% off the Oppo Enco Buds in Blue. This is a new colorway that will soon join the white, which was already available in in India. The buds cost INR 2,000 ($27) without a discount and will start shipping on October 3.
Dimensity 1200 for 42k in India while Realme X7 Max with same chip, same memory configuration is a good 12k cheaper ! Same old 64+8+2mp camera setup ! Extremely overpriced !
