Oppo Android

Oppo introduced the F17 and F17 Pro in India last week but it didn't reveal the pricing and availability details of the non-Pro model. Today it announced that the base model of the Oppo F17 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at INR17,990 ($245/€205) and for INR2,000 ($27/€23) more, you'll get 8GB RAM.

Both models are up for pre-orders on Amazon.in and Flipkart in Classic Silver, Dynamic Orange and Navy Blue colors, with sales kicking off from September 21.

The Oppo F17 is powered by the Snapdragon 662 SoC and boots Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 on top. It comes with a 6.44" FullHD+ Super AMOLED display that has a fingerprint underneath for biometric authentication, and a notch up top for the 16MP selfie camera.

Around the back, you get a square-shaped quad camera setup, which is a combination of 16MP primary, 8MP ultrawide and two 2MP mono cameras.

The Oppo F17 is 7.45mm thin and ships with a 4,015 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

No. Helio is pants. If you read the early impressions review right here, you'd know that. Snapdragon are always more powerful like for like or near to. Helio, Mediatek are naff. Waiting for the day they aren't.
