480 5g chipset is definitely more powerful then it seem... moreActually if you lived in Indonesia, Oppo A74 5G is cheaper than Realme 8 Pro and Samsung A32 5G, oppo a74 price is IDR 200k cheaper than A32 samsung 5G, BUT oppo a74 already FHD Snapdragon IPS LCD UFS, while A32 only gets HD eMMC TFT MTK D720
Poco and Xiaomi can't use 5G right now since they support B41 instead of B40, i know it is a pity that my country doesnot reserve B78 which is the common 5G band

Current amoled/oled panels use PWM, which can be very detrimental to health/sight and cognition.
The technology is still in its infancy, and manufacturers are still working hard to improve the tech and to develop PWM free displays.
Until that point arrives, I'd rather protect the safety of my sight and health, and advise others to do the same, as it is not worth the trade off just to have additional color saturation on a screen.

Part of me thinks they intentionally overprice them sim free so contracts look better, and when they get a price cut it looks like a good deal.

Tested the device for a few hours.
480 5g chipset is definitely more powerful then it seems, generally smooth performance, however the odd occasional lag here and there in the UI.
Tested games - surprised high graphic settings are an option. Games generally ran smooth. Odd slowdown here and there but still, great for a 4 series chipset.
The camera is unfortunately abysmal. Front and rear. Especially video recording. Very choppy and on some occasions, it would not record sound/audio with the videos when recorded (possible bug?) Definitely a NO in the camera department. Appalling front camera too.
Sound - medicore. Volume via wired headphones were quite low too. Loudspeaker volume is medicore.
Battery - couldn't really test day/long term use so no comment.
Ran some benchmarks. Was surpised by the antutu score. Got 260k. Which is very good for a 4 series chip.
Overall, it's an interesting handset but way way way way way way overpriced (espeically in the UK/europe). It's £250 in the UK. You can get a realme 7 5g, mi 10t lite, poco x3 pro, moto g 5g plus etc etc for cheaper (and more powerful/better cameras).

I've runned Geekbench 5 en Antutu, the SD480 5G is as powerfull as the 732G, here are the results;
Single core: 576
Multi Core: 1778
Antutu: 323.965
This phone is no powerhouse, but it's good enough, even a bit better then the A73 5G's Dimensity 720 5G. Get your facts right, the SD480 5G is a good mirdrange processor.
