OnePlus Android Rumors

OnePlus recently launched Ace 3 Pro and reportedly is already looking ahead to the Ace 5 series. According to leakster Digital Chat Station, the new phone will inherit a lot of specs from the previous Ace, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 100W wired charging.

One major change we expect to see is the arrival of a bigger Silicone-Carbon battery. It will consist of two 3,000 mAh cells, totaling a minimal charge of 6,000 mAh (likely around 6,100 mAh typical).

OnePlus is skipping the number 4 in the Ace's name because of superstition, so we are jumping straight to 5. Sadly, this doesn't mean we'll see twice the upgrades - the new phone should keep the 6.78" 8T LTPO OLED with 1240p resolution made by BOE. The wired charging is also nothing new and remains a downgrade from the 150W rates on the Ace 2 Pro.

The cameras on the back are said to remain three, with the main one having a 50 MP sensor. The front panel will be slightly curved on all four sides. The leakster also revealed the new Ace will have an alert slider.

The OnePlus Ace 5 should arrive before October because that's when we expect the OnePlus 13 to draw the attention away from the Ace with a new chipset and better specs.

No 4 is unlucky in East Asia. Doesn't explain the existence of PS4 and Xperia mark 4 series, however.

Oppo loves to cheap out with 8 mp ultrawides, when they have them in higher segments than competition.
