OnePlus Android Announcement

OnePlus announced two phones today - the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. The 10R is the global variant of the OnePlus Ace, which launched in China last week (and the Realme GT Neo3 before that) and it comes in two variants with a distinct charging and battery difference.

OnePlus 10R

The OnePlus 10R brings impressive battery charging in both of its incarnations. First is the OnePlus 10R with 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition, which has a 4,500mAh battery and a 150W USB-C charger. This 10R can go from 1% to 30% in 3 minutes and from 1% to 100% in just 17 minutes.

The other 10R is the regular one, with 80W SUPERVOOC and a 5,000mAh battery - it can charge from 1% to 100% in 32 minutes. Both versions of the OnePlus 10R have a Customized Smart Charging Chip that safeguards charging. And for those that worry that super fast-charging a phone will lead to quicker battery degradation, OnePlus has a Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Healing Technology that ensures the 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition will retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is twice the industry standard of 800 cycles.

The OnePlus 10R uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max, exclusive to OnePlus. OnePlus says the powerful Cortex-A78 cores can reach 2.85GHz, a bit faster than the regular chip's 2.75GHz clock speed.

The chipset is paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. The 10R has a built-in 3D Passive Cooling System that is the joint-largest in a OnePlus smartphone.

The OnePlus 10R has a 6.7-inch 1080x2412px AMOLED screen with a variable 120Hz refresh rate (it can scale from 60Hz to 90Hz, all the way to 120Hz depending on the situation), and a touch response rate of 730Hz.

The OnePlus 10R has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a Sony IMX766 1/1.56" sensor with PDAF focus and a stabilized lens. There's also an 8MP fixed-focus ultrawide, 2MP dedicated macro, and a 16MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus 10R runs OxygenOS 12.1, based on Android 12, and OnePlus has committed to 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

The OnePlus 10R will go on sale through OnePlus' website, Amazon, Reliance stores, Chroma stores, and select partner stores from May 4 at noon. The standard 80W version is INR 38,999 for the 8/128GB model and INR 42,999 for the 12/256GB model. The 150W 10R comes in Sierra Black and 12/256GB only, and costs INR 43,999.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a Snapdragon 695, replacing the Dimensity 900 of the regular Nord CE 2.

Other changes include a 6.58” IPS LCD (120Hz) instead of the 6.43” AMOLED (90Hz) and the removal of the 8MP ultrawide camera, leaving only a 64MP main module and two 2 MP helpers on the back. A 16MP selfie camera sits on the front.

The 5,000mAh battery has 33W SUPERVOOC charging support.

I would get neither for Wild rift, unfortunately Realme is very weird when it comes to HRR support on games. I'd check some forums to see which phones have 90/120hz activated- I couldn't find an updated list from the developers. If the Neo ...
