After releasing the 10S Pro earlier this year, which felt like a soft refresh of the original RedMagic 10 Pro, nubia's gaming phone subsidiary is now delivering a proper next-gen upgrade to its gaming phone series with the RedMagic 11 Pro.
So if you want to go all in on Android gaming at the end of 2025, the RedMagic 11 Pro might just be your best bet. Especially since the next-generation Asus ROG Phone isn't out yet.
One important distinction between the Chinese and the global RedMagic 11 lineups is that the Pro+ model in China is actually the standard Pro version for the rest of the world.
In any case, the RedMagic 11 Pro ships with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and upgrades the cooling system. You now have a more powerful fan, water and dust-proof at that, and the "world's first liquid cooling on a mass-production smartphone".
There are no changes to the display, and that's not bad news, as the large, full-screen 6.85-inch OLED panel with 144Hz resolution did fairly well in our tests last time.
No significant changes to the camera hardware either - two 50MP cameras on the back and one under-display 16MP shooter on the front.
On the other hand, the battery department receives plenty of love this time around. The handset now ships with a massive 7,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery in all international markets. It also supports fast 80W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The latter was missing in the previous generations. Reverse wireless charging is also supported.
Other notable upgrades coming with the new generation include improved speakers, new RGB LED lighting, upgraded RedCore R4 dedicated gaming chip and a handful of AI and non-AI software gaming features.
The device comes in a standard retail box with the usual quick start guide, a transparent protective case and a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and data transfer.
Interestingly, even the European retail package contains the compatible 80W fast wired charger. So kudos to RedMagic for that.
Does that mean ZTE doesn't have a small team that can translate words from Chinese to English correctly? 😂 This weakness has been written into its phones for years.
