Ok please stop hating on this phone, its 250 euros, and not every phone is perfect. Ive been
using this phone for 3 weeks, i didnt see any bugs, system is great,
i can go max settings 60 fps on 80% of the games, camera is not that bad, but selfie is great, yea i hate white screen after taking a slefie, battery can last all day no problem no matter of screen time, display is pretty good id say, on sun its highly visible.
Now here are some benchmarks:
FORTNITE-around 55fps in battle royale, low settings 100% 3D resolution
COD: mobile-max settings 60 fps battle royale and 5v5.
Genshim impact: idk what settings, i just loaded the game idk which settings were, but it was pretty smoth.
GRIND autosport custom: around 34 fps max settings, on performance 60 fps smoth
Warzone mobile: Downloaded from apkpure, 30 fps lowest, and ground was glitching a bit too.
PUBG mobile: i dont remember, but it was ultra hdr, or maybe hdr, i dont remember, but its 40 fps stable.
thats all games i tested,
An update received yesterday size of 69mb, but shown as stability improvement. For camera improvement there's nothing! 😕
Received update on last week around 1GB size, utter waste update IMO, Camera issues not solved yet, Apps crashing frequently and not fixed yet, if you browsing through more animated site then system UI going to stuck. All my impression on this phone gone now! 🙏
My God horrible selfies 🙂↔️

Nothing Phone 2a portraits with 2x is best.
Hey!
I bought the Nothing Phone 2a a couple of weeks ago but I have had a toxic experience with it.
Yes the phone design and display is awesome but the performance is a little bit poor.
Honestly I love the Buds and the charging adapter with 65w, buds with a great noise cancelling and battery but the phone itself needs an improvement.
It slows down and showing a system not responding alert, insisting to close, once i do, the screen goes off and takes time to on again.
It heats up like hell, all because I'm using the internet to download some files which are less than 3gigabytes.
babydubdub, 30 Apr 2025hey guys, i'm considering buying this phone as my former phone finally gave up today. i ... moreSo far so good nothing is 3.0 runs smooth been using the 2a for a year now and managed to snatch a brand new 256/12 for 234usd back when I purchased it
hey guys, i'm considering buying this phone as my former phone finally gave up today.
i need to be clear if it's the right move. The most important things to me on a phone are:
1). Battery( I should be getting at least a full day use with the battery. I'm not a heavy user, the only game i play is Clash of Clans and Ms Solitaire collection. I hope it should be able to carry these games and not overheat).
2). Stability and Trust: I've really been through hell with my old phone. It had a motherboard issue and i've been to everywhere to try and fix it in my area but ultimately there was no permanent solution and it finally gave up today. I know Nothing is a new company and they should be trying to build trust in their customers, but so was xiaomi and we all know what happened to their users.
3). Software updates: I don't really care about software updates, but in the case that i do update it, i need to know that they didn't send out an update that is meant to kill the phone, make the battery life worse or make it lag more. Once i updated to Android 14 on my former phone, the battery life was hell. I need confirmation that this would not happen on this device and if it already has, please inform me in the reply so i know not to update it if get it.
That's basically it.(p.s cameras would never be a reason i consider a phone so don't use that as a deciding factor)
Incase anyone is wondering what my previous phone was, it is TECNO CAMON 20 PRO 5G. Please do not ever consider that phone no matter how low your budget gets, there's always a better option.
Thank You and please give me a response
MrBramski123, 16 Feb 2025If you are sensitive to oled displays that uses pwm to regulate the brightness, do not buy thi... moreAmoleds use pwm to regulate the screen too and samsung are the worst offenders when it comes to pwm using very low frequencies with high modulation .
Btw all oleds are Amoleds (active matrix) but samsung copyrighted the name (amoled) so you can only advertise it's an amoled if samsung manufactured the panel, otherwise you have to say oled despite them being the exact same technology.

They named it nothing because nothing works.
.
Do not disturb mode doesn't turn itself off
GPS is useless
Doesn't make outgoing calls 8 out of 10 times.
Camera takes about 4 seconds to take a photo.
I've owned most phones for 5+ years but this one is going in the bin after a year.
As a Nothing 2a user, the back camera has 4k@30fps and 1080p@30fps/60fps. The only 120fps is in slow-mo.

beastage, 20 Mar 2025a 2024 phone without esim is not acceptable Why
AzzaTech, 03 Mar 2025They called it Nothing since it's a company that doesn't want you ALWAYS on your pho... moreIf that is the case, why is it so large? The major draw to the current brick sized phones is that for a lot of people, the phone is their main device to watch video entertainment and to browse the internet. So the big screen and big battery is important for those types of users.
I'm not that type of person as I use a computer. For me, a phone is a banking/payment tool, a music player, a camera and for socials. I don't need much and appreciate and resonate with that philosophy, but it needs to disappear in my pocket because that's where it will be for the most part if I'm not at my desk.
People like me are pretty much forced to the Galaxy S base models. The fact that my S23 is almost the size and weight of my old 2015 S6 is a miracle in this day and age.
