HMD dumb phones sales have increased significantly in India for example. This means the demand for dumb phones is there. Maybe not for you, but for other people. US for HMD phones are doing pretty good too. Read before you write.

Since they only focused on making the calssic brick like phone, they had fallen down hill.
I bet it hit even harder during the pandemic where a mobile smartphone is now a need than the usually brick phone that is only used for calls.
So yes, it's a dead company like some dated ones and is now rebranded as HMD
So is Nokia as a phone brand officially dead? I know HMD is still making phones but let's face it. They're not Nokia and the phones don't look anything like Nokia phones. Going to HMD's website shows they really don't have much to show or do with Nokia now. Nokia.com website phones now redirect to HMD. Not sure how such a massive company like Nokia could let itself die such a painful death.

It's sneaky marketing talk and obviously brands who use Qualcomm's.ax ready chipsets copy & paste it and confuse consumers.

One of the worst handset in my life...The touchscreen crap, phone laggy out of the blue, fingerprint reader is a hit or miss (sometimes stuck in a loophole) Honestly it is not midrange, it is low range mid level....

Poor selfie camera at 8 Mp. In 2024 this could be better. Nokia is small company and is trying too many things at once. Needs to concentre on one phone

Finally after multiple emails and chats with HMD support/ Nokia Care teams, I received the 00WW_2_350 update for G42 5G (Model TA-1586). Now that some OTA related bug is resolved from HMD's end, hopefully all future updates will be available smoothly as and when they get released.
