Back in July, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that vivo was deciding between three 200MP sensors for the telephoto camera on its upcoming camera flagship, the X500 Ultra. Now, the tipster suggests that the company may have made its choice.
According to a recent post by the tipster, the latest engineering sample of the vivo X500 Ultra is testing a 200MP 1/1.2-inch sensor for the telephoto camera.
vivo appears to have found a way to accommodate the larger sensor without taking up too much internal space.
For comparison, the vivo X300 Ultra features a 200MP telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. The larger sensor on its successor should be able to capture more light, potentially improving image quality, particularly in low-light conditions.
The tipster also recently claimed that the vivo X500 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, pack a battery with a capacity of around 8,000mAh, and feature a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display supplied by BOE. The flagship is rumored to launch between March and April next year.

My Find X9 Ultra smokes the latest iPhone irrespective of the lens used. 1/2.5" telephoto sensor is the exact cost cutting expected from lower-class brands like Apple. The marketing wants you to think it's a high end brand, but in realit...
Even if Vivo sells exactly 1 unit of this phone (which in itself is impossible), it will still be a better phone than any Pro Max from fruit logo company.
Imagine having the audacity to comment on phones with 200Mp sensors that you can't even afford.
