Oppo Android Rumors

Oppo's Reno17 series is rumored to launch in China next month, and today prolific tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the key specs of the Reno17 Pro. If you've been following the brand's releases closely, they will sound very familiar.

According to the leak, the Reno17 Pro will have a 6.32-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and it will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. That's exactly the screen size and chipset of the global Oppo Reno16 Pro, which isn't to be confused with the Reno16 Pro for China, a bigger 6.78-inch phone with the Dimensity 9500s.

The camera setup is said to be familiar too. The Reno17 Pro will reportedly have a 200 MP main camera with a large sensor and gimbal-style stabilization, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto on the back, plus a 50 MP selfie camera. A periscope is still rare on phones this small, but the global Reno16 Pro already offers one.

What's different is the battery. The Reno17 Pro is tipped to pack a cell of around 7,000 mAh, up from 6,700 mAh in the global Reno16 Pro (and 6,000 mAh in its European version). That's impressively big for a 6.32-inch phone. Charging speeds are still unknown.

Another tipster, Smart Pikachu, has claimed that the Reno17 series will focus on a "trendy design" and 200 MP cameras. It will also bring new tools for live photos, live videos, and photo editing, and keep the dedicated AI button. The same source previously said Oppo was evaluating teleconverter support for the Reno17 lineup, something that's currently limited to the Find X series.

The Reno17 family is expected to launch in China in November with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. It could then arrive in India by early January 2027, but the Pro may skip that market. In China, it will go up against the Honor 700 series and the vivo S70 lineup, both of which are also expected next month.

BBK was dissolved 3 years ago. I’m surprised how many people are still unaware of this fact.

Do people still buy Oppo? They’re trying to sell a 7gen4 phone for $650 (Oppo Reno 16). That’s more expensive than even a Samsung Galaxy A57. Oppo is off the rails.

The biggest problem that all Reno have is the fingerprint sensor position, which is like a 200$ phone, And its also optical sensor, also no LTPO.
