During his last call with investors before stepping down, Apple CEO Tim Cook laid out that the upcoming September quarter (Q3) will have huge customer demand that the supply chain won't be able to meet.
Cook stressed that it isn't a case of RAM constraints or lack of parts, but that, put simply, customer demand for iPhones, iPads, and Macs is too great, and supply partners can't keep up. He said, "this isn't a partner or supplier issue. The issue is an incredibly strong demand."
That means that the supply chain is capable of completing Apple orders at the usual scale, but that the scale will increase. It's not a bad problem to have.
It remains to be seen whether the supply chain can catch up in Q4, or whether demand would outpace supply heading into early 2027.
You want to give mommy a Galaxy S27 Ultra next year. Samsung Galaxy is way better than the Apple iPhone.
I could care less about Apple. I'm doing the trade in on my S26 Ultra and my mother's S26 and buying myself the S27 Ultra and buying my mother the S27 next year. It's a once a year thing I do.
