These are the requirements for Windows Mobile 7:
The hardware requirements include mandatory support for multi-touch with the software support for zooming in for images and controlling games. There is also this interesting requirement for the device to sport at least a 3.2 megapixel camera. Next comes GPS support, which is mandatory as well. Apart from these, a compass and accelerometer are also required. On the connectivity front, the device should be USB High, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: 802.11B/G compliant. Connector support comes in the form of Micro USB and a 3.5mm audio jack.

i don't think the hardware is the issue.
it's the os. once these mobile manufacturers find a way to really integrate their hd with sw and vice versa, they'll never be able to rise above the likes of iphone and pre alike.
i hate to say this, but the truth of the matter is iphone is so much more superior as a product than any other handsets in the market, and that's unfortunate. but i do hope nokia samsung motorola lg sonyE would stay competitive if not beat apple. it would only be good for consumers, to say the least.

to me I hate xperia flagship.after buying X1 I found the low build quality and lack of some simple feature for example ,no BCR and the funny speaker(low quality and annoying sound),also in media panel and wmp. there is no ..options for setting up the equalizer.It is funny,so I never trust to xperia again.as a sonyericsson user Walkmans are the best ones...
