It's almost as fast as my Nexus 5 with the latest Android, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles Android does have.

Everyone don't listen to people who haven't seen Windows Phone even in their life.
WP are so much fun to use I use both Android and WP. But Android is like a jungle of bugs and lag.
Just use Windows once you'll never wish to switch back to Android.
They are so cool to use and so much fluid and there are plenty of Apps and Games you can play with specially Camera apps will blow your mind.
WP are extremely stable and consistent performance wise.

It's reality for a while now, what big OEM do you know, besides Apple, that are in the top of selling manufacturers? american MOTO - gone(it's now lemovo and is a small player), canadian BB - no words, european Nokia, Siemens, Ericsson, Bosch, Alcatel and so on - gone...and from my point of view the absence of these players it's seen because let's be honest, for 4 or more years these "new" companies brought only faster cpus, bigger screens and nothing new, yeah the software is evolving too but that's another story
