Oh, it's worse than that. I have access to a Xiaomi Mi3, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and a P7. The P7 is by far the slowest phone in reality. In anything but benchmarks the 1S will run circles around it, apps start faster, browsing websites is smoother, multitasking works better (arguably, the 1S only has 1 GB RAM). It is an otherwise competent phone, the P7, but the performance is a massive let down, lagging behind even 2011's Galaxy Nexus/Galaxy S II. I'd say the reason is the software. EMUI 3.0 improves things a bit, but it is still very inefficient.
cheap and sad
The thread is for unmodified phones I assume, 39k in Antutu is a breeze for Nexus 5
It is something wrong with presented Antutu4 results... My Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.4.2 reached a result 35800 points.
AnonD-239081, 23 Apr 2014lol 1.6 quad is very close to 2.3 quad nexus 5, what about if it is 2.3 quad?? how many points... morenoob, Nexus`s poor optimization meaningless, Huawei has its own optimization like Samsung and LG, so compare to them
I'm glad I own a Z1.
Benchmarks are useless. Real life performance is what matters.
lol 1.6 quad is very close to 2.3 quad nexus 5, what about if it is 2.3 quad?? how many points going to score??
Anonymous, 22 Apr 2014what does this phone have going for it? cheap price? The P6 was their high end phone which was much cheaper than the other brand's flagship phones. The phone should be much cheaper than your HTC ONe M8s, GS5's etc.
The phone lacks in specs so it stays thin and have a sleek form factor, so the smaller battery lasts longer.
Anonymous, 22 Apr 2014oh my god! how could this be? P6 was relatively close to S4 there is no way Huawei is going to... moreLook at the chart above. The P6 was nowhere near the S4. The design was excellent but had very poor specs, as you can see it had below half the score the S4 had.
The P7 scores extremely closely to the S4 now so it is of course a big improvement, in the sleek form factor.
I have the Ascend P6 and this thing is a pleasure to pocket. Reasonably good camera, thin body at 6.2mm and good price at as low as $250-350 USD outright. I assume P7 will have the same going for it as the P6 except without having crippling processing speeds as seen on the P6. Hope they fix the battery and overheating.
oh my god! how could this be? P6 was relatively close to S4 there is no way Huawei is going to release same as P6 Specs...it must be Huawei being so stupid i MEAN come on what the heck are Kirin CPUs? just some outdated mashed up stuffs and it's middle 2014 and give us Quad Core A9?! even Mediatek has OctaCore A15,A7 which is twice S4's Power..If you don't or can't afford working in Processor Business Huawei..then just don't..Mediatek are cheaper than your *Beep*
what does this phone have going for it? cheap price?
