sanshiro, 02 Dec 2025Why do I need Turkish Airlines for that ? I check my phone and I can find my luggage anywhere... moreThe logic is, if TK lost your bag or, even worse, left it at the departure airport, you can use your SmartTag to tell them about it and TK staff will pick it up, load it onto the next plane or DHL truck, and send it to you at your destination hotel, instead of you having to scramble to find that bag and track it.

I check my phone and I can find my luggage anywhere with a smart tag in it.......
Funny that they partner this with Turkish airlines earlier than even Korean Air and Asiana Airlines

My S24 don't even has UWB. Premium flagship up my **s.

Invetor, 02 Dec 2025That's cool. But Samsung offers UWB to only three phones! (S25U, S25+, S25 edge). Neither... moreOlder flagship phones offer UWB support as well. Additionally, the feature is NOT required for it to work, just makes it able to point out with an arrow towards the location, everything else is the same.
Put that tech on your TV remotes, you dorks!
That's cool. But Samsung offers UWB to only three phones! (S25U, S25+, S25 edge). Neither the base S25 nor the popular A56 get the UWB needed for using these SmartTags.
Oh and I hope this SmartTags service to airline customers is free and complementary. It'd be sad and hilarious if they charged extra for this.
