Anonymous, 21 May 2025Wonder when and where I can download it and try it on my spare PC or emulate it in VMware.HarmonyOS— Being a closed-source operating system, you probably won't be seeing it on windows-native or macOS-native computers. But, as someone with only a little amount of knowledge on Huawei, I am not a hundred percent sure what I said is accurate. Please check sites you trust before ACTUALLY believing me.

FlameThrower, 13 May 2025Windows has Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) so it's definitely Linux too apples and oranges.
windows does not need to run userspace linux containers to run drivers, and the ability to be compatible with Linux blobs/syscalls are not design goals of windows

Anonymous, 11 May 2025Hope you're not from India. Have you seen what the J10C did to Rafales? xD😂😂 You know how embarrassing it is for a J10 costing a quarter of a Rafale to jam its signal mid-air and then shoot it down? Now they have 2 6th Gens, I feel for Taiwan.

I love how it can look like macOS and Windows, and how it beats them all in animation. They took the best of both worlds and made something outstanding.

Wow, this looks like a macOS ripped off, but, hats off to Huawei for being able to build everything on their own even after the big US ban way back 2018. Look where they are now, though Huawei devices are seen on limited numbers nowadays outside China due to being no longer Android OS, Huawei is still freakin big in China and IoT. Much like how ZTE is doing with their RedMagic(now also the number 1 gaming smartphone brand as per ZTE MWC 2025 per sales) and nubia line of devices now expanding their market share successfully, but with unique innovations like UDC, Si/C battery, complex cooling, triggers etc.

Selinux is a borrowed component in Open harmony and not sure if it is even included in HarmonyOS PC. They've introduced a new component called Starshield to handle security.
