Both band 8 & 9 active watches suck. The 8 worked for 4 months and the 9 active worked for only 10 days. I bring the 9 active back to their service center to be looked at and they agree it’s broken but since it’s past 7 days they can’t replace it? They give me a poor excuse that they can’t replace it with the same watch because it’s been discontinued even though they’re still selling it online and at the store. Fair warning, don’t buy Xiaomi. When their service center employees are trained to be liars.

as a Previous user of Band and now i use smart watch i saw no benefits wearing band with only purpose is time and health sensor as Sensor of every watch is not totally accurate and whats worst is this brand has 70 - 80% or below accuracy upon testing on Reviewers.
i still use smartwatch with more function and not band anymore.
i use Smart watch Mainly to Make Silent Alarm, its not ringing but only Vibrating in my arm so i can wake without disturbing someone.
I use watch time the most basic and common.
I use watch to locate my phone as i misplace it a lot sometimes.
i use watch to connect on my speaker and play music cause i put some music in my watch for quick play.
I use watch to control my camera so i can use my phone with tripod for group picture.
I Use watch to quick answer call.
I use Watch for quick read Notification.
I use watch for Reminder
The other usage like sensor. is a Bonus
my watch has NFC for card Payment but sadly Not supported in my Country Yet.

Xiaomi hasn't improved the accuracy after Mi Band 7. Accuracy has gone down. A smart band with poor accuracy is just e-waste.

Beeld and sobon I do not care. Has to work without my phone. Distance time location that's it.
Needed 3 to 4 Times a week.
Heartbeat also needed.
Calling function is ok but not needed.

I want to buy a Watch pure for running outside. Time and Distance. I this a good One? Or are there better Ones? If you why? Thanks. Purely for Sports. .

I can understand the cheaper band makes sense in some countries where the price difference makes sense to get the cheaper product.
This one is 27 euro in my country, Smart Band 9 is 39.99 euro in my country, 13 euro is peanuts here so I don't understand why Xiaomi bothers to release both here.
But again, in other countries the price difference can be much more vs income.
