TH3ORY, 04 Dec 2024Can't I root it and unlock the bands that way ?Zte actually lists band n71 on their website so you should be good without rooting. Now that I found that out I am considering buying one as well.

Nickname optional, 04 Dec 2024Anyone know if this is compatible with T-mobile?My 9 pro is compatible with tmobile so yea, your good. Tmobile may say its not on there list of Approved devices but that just means they are bitter cux your not buying a phone from Tmobile. On reddit there's plenty people with Redmagic devices from the 5-9 pro all using tmobile network.

Like A10 onwards locking most non rooted users out of data/obb folders. And looking around, android gamers mostly are not the type to get mad at the lack of updates.

This isn't a 250€ phone and even there Xiaomi kinda surprised me on occasions where you expected no updates because cheap phone and you got them. For phones over 500€ I expect at least 4 major OS updates as minimum.

They're good at providing software updates for that 2-3 years cycle. Though not as fast as other brands, they release an update every 2-4 months for security and stability updates. 2 OS updates are provided too.

I like the flush cameras so much and the fact that they are the only ones who mastered under display selfie camera. But it being ZTE means basically no software support and that sucks.

It's not as black and white "they're greedy" or "they're not greedy". Apple is an American brand, ofc China would tax the heck out of em.
