The difference in my country is 200 for both brand new but premium refurbrished 9 pro is actually lime 20 bucks more.

Did you test the hotspot function on each phone. When I upgraded to the Pixel 9 Pro on Verizon, my Hotspot capability has failed every time unless I am on a wi-fi connection.

My comment was more of a minor criticism coming from a long-time AOSP ROM user. I was expecting a bit more of an 'upgrade' in the UI/UX. Looks and feels largely the same as A12.
Moreover, there is this sense of fluidity and harmony in current iOS versions that I wish AOSP would adopt. But that is just my wishful thinking. I'd still take AOSP over other 3rd party skins.

If you are used to One UI customisation or Oxygen OS fluidity, then you will have problems with stock Android. Otherwise stock Android is still great in my opinion.

Now with Pixel 10 Pro XL, Tensor G5 needs to match with snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performance with 3nm efficiency. I am okay to pay 1100-1200USD for 256GB.

Dont expect anything great on chipset hardware front. It will be always behind. UFS 3.1 storage on 1000USD phone doesn't make sense.

I think calling this a scam is better than comparing G4 to other flagship SoCs.

Pixel 9 pro has Vapor chamber cooling. It makes night and day difference for tensor chip

Great phones, marred by lackluster software*, archaic charging speeds, and inflated price tags (tho this is unavoidable).
*I do love stock Android, but so far I don't see huge improvements made in these last two Android iterations.

I got my Pixel 9 Pro XL on discount from a bloke who prefers iPhones. I spent $900 AUD for a new Pixel 9 Pro XL, and it has been serving me well, coming from OnePlus 9 Pro it feels very smooth and all my day to day tasks works without any issue.
