I think it's common sense that Apple products are overpriced but they're no different than nVidia with nearly 2 grand for a 4090. And well I'd say 4TB would be ideal for a gaming PC at current prices but definitely overkill for someone who does only browsing and Office apps...
HP 32-c0170ng. Here's an example of how a modern AIO PC can look like. I would much rather use that one, especially since I get 32 GB RAM and 1 Terabyte of storage space for what is essentially the cost of the base M4 iMac with just 512 GB storage space. You even get a much more usable screen size for that resolution, too. It's also slim, not as slim, but not too big by any means and has more ports, so you don't need an extension hub. Performance is all in all similar, both will do perfectly fine for daily tasks. Maybe I am alone on this, but if I had to choose, the HP is my clear winner
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2024The tech that sits behind the display on iPad is in the bottom bezel of iMacAlso behind the screen. But since it's Apple, they refuse to make it a few millimeters thicker in favor of reducing the bezel size. I found alternatives that look like normal monitors with a super thin bezel, despite having pretty good tech behind it, alongside a beefy cooling solution, and yet those look sleeker than this. This is a monitor first and foremost, so thickness really does NOT matter. What you see from the front does
Too expensive with laughable 256 GB base storage and way worse bezels than other options on the market. Storage is extremely cheap especially for OEMs, so 512 GB should be the absolute minimum here.
joxelln, 28 Oct 2024well, i don't think that it's actually worth buying...No shit, which Apple product ever was not overpriced mess? 🙂 The only good Apple product is used Apple product with more than half less the asking price when it was new 🙂

For basic things?!
Decent specs and a hight DPI display
Is this really that bad?
I wonder how much a high DPI display alone costs without all the other parts

Better to get a macbook and an external 4k monitor lol.

technically its housing everything important (hardware required to function) and the grill also works as vent for cooling.
for people who don't like the chin, for them studio display/mac is the option.
they should have upgrade/configurable option for display to 27' with 120 hz pro motion and m4 pro chip.
additional feature sets like face id, megsafe charging for keyboard/trackpad/mice and chiclet keyboard with trackpad integration (a keyboard with trackpad) by taking space of right side keys on full size keyboard with numpad)
note: trackpad will be separate when you choose keyboard with numpad.

And I bet you would complain about the thickness if they removed that bar.
